About Corporate SHIT

You are SHIT (what corporate transformation adventure would be complete without useless acronyms to help you remember things?):

  1. Seeking opportunities for $$$$$$$ (or impact, or influence, or building networks of smart, interesting talented people – or whatever you’re passionate about)

  2. Helping others succeed. Even people like Jobs helped millions of customers get the experience they wanted.

  3. Innovating to find new ways to work without being burdened by the Same Old Shit (SOS – acronyms for acronyms’ sake)

  4. Taking risks and fucking with new things on the reg (new tech, new methods, etc.)

How did we get here?

The teenage version of you would punch the current version of you squarely in your gender-neutral genitals for saying shit like deck and ROI and whatever other stupid made up corporate shit you talk all day.

But, you think, I’m not a corporate drone, I’m not like those other people – Maybe. But, if you haven’t recently spearheaded something that has fundamentally and irreversibly changed the industry you work in, you are aiming too low.

You can impact more than you fucking think. Go from a no-budget “follower” to an executive and leader commanding millions or more for your enterprise.

Dinosaurs hiding while the meteor approaches are not the only ones who like large companies. Disruptive, intelligent people want attractive compensation packages, massive scale of impact, and huge networks of talent that enterprises offer.

But even if you ended up at your current enterprise because some bozo in his best “dressed down” look handed you a brochure at a career fair 10 years ago, there is still hope.
